Narvik - Luleå / Luleå - Narvik

Book here

One great way to explore the Arctic area is by train. The route between Kiruna and Narvik, which is a part of the night train between Stockholm and Narvik, is known as one of the greatest train journeys in the world. The train carries travellers along stunning fjords, near frozen glaciers, under icy waterfalls and whisks you past fairytale towns. It offers stunning scenery of Lapland and lets you see many of the rural parts of Scandinavia that are not accessible by cars. The train is also a great way to get from one Arctic town to another and you might even have the chance to spot the Aurora Borealis from your train window.

The night train from Stockholm til Narvik is part of the network of train routes in Scandinavia and allows you to travel between Narvik, Luleå and Stockholm in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way. In Narvik and Luleå, the train connects with the Arctic Route bus to Rovaniemi (Luleå) and Tromsø (Narvik). From 13 December the night train between Stockholm and Narvik is operated by Vy.

Daily departures/arrivals at Narvik, Riksgränsen, Björkliden, Abisko, Kiruna, Gällivarre, Boden and Luleå.
